On a historic Saxon site in the Town centre, this is Lancashire's only Anglican Cathedral. It's distinctive lantern tower was rebuilt in 1998 and gives an added magnificence.

Extensions to the church give a uniqueness to both the interior and exterior.

Features include - central altar with corona above, fine Walker organ, and Medieval 19th century and contemporary stained glass.
