Castle Street Chester

Chester castle was built by the Romans and occupied by the Army. Set in the angle of the city walls, this 12th-century monument contains a fine vaulted chapel, a military museum and Agricola Tower. The building as it stands today was designed by Thomas Harrison and completed in 1810.
Admission is free to the castle.
