Location Map

Maintained by Cheshire County Council, Tatton Park, is an early 19th-century Wyatt house, and is one of the most complete historic estates open to visitors.  Here you can find collections of pictures, books, china, glass, silver and Gillow furniture on display.

The house is set within landscaped grounds which contain amongst other things a fern house, orangery, rose garden, pinetum and Italian and Japanese gardens with a Shinto beside one of the lakes. Within the 1000 acre country park there is  fishing, sailing, a 1930s working farm, a children’s play area and for those who enjoy the outdoors, there are many walks around the lakes which offer the chance to see many varieties of wildlife and  the mere is especially interesting for its waterfowl during winter.
