Arley Hall

Early Victorian mansion house, still a residence, set in twelve acres of magnificent gardens of great variety. With it's ancient history, the hall has been run by the same family for over 500 years.


Bramall Hall

Magnificent magpie half-timbered building. Pre-Reformation passion paintings. Fine Elizabethan plaster ceiling. Changing programme of events. Well stocked gift shop selling unique lines. The stables cafe offers home-made snacks, lunches, teas. Sixty-four acres of fine parkland, lakes and two playgrounds.


Capesthorne Hall

An 18th century Jacobean-style hall  with a facade longer than that of Buckingham Palace, which houses an interesting collection of paintings, porcelain and Americana which is set in 100 acres of picturesque Cheshire parkland. This is one of Cheshire’s premier historic houses.


Gawsworth Hall

Late fifteenth-century manor house, still very much a family home, whose origins date back to the Normans. In serene surroundings, with lovely gardens, the hall has much fine furniture, portraits and sculpture.


Little Moreton Hall

Began in 1450 and completed in 1580 Little Moreton is regarded as the finest example of a timber-framed moated manor house in the country. The drunkenly reeling South Front opens onto a cobbled courtyard and the main body of the Hall. The Chapel, Elizabethan Long Gallery, Great Hall, wall paintings and Knot Garden are of particular interest.

Lyme Hall and Park

Impressive stone Palladian structure (1720) with Tudor origins, notable for Grinling Gibbons carvings and the herds of red and fallow deer which roam the 1320 acre parkland. Gardens, orangery, pools and specialist clock collection. The hall featured in the BBC TV's "Pride and Prejudice" as "Pemberley" - Mr Darcy's house. Stands in a fine park with commanding views of the Cheshire Plains amongst ornate gardens.


Peover Hall and Gardens

Tudor manor-house dating from 1585. Stables have remarkable plaster work ceilings, and are worth a special visit. The gardens, which are contemporary with the Hall, are enclosed by a topiary-work hedge.


Tatton Park

The house is set within a 1000 acre country park and has landscaped grounds which contain many fine gardens.
