Warrington has a huge range of sporting and recreational activities where you can enjoy the arts, spectator sports, leisure centres, countryside walks and an enormous variety of sporting facilities. 

At the heart of Warrington you can find the Golden Square shopping centre. The  mall opens onto the Old Market Place, a delightful partially roofed open space, surrounded by some of Warrington's most historic buildings, frequently used as a venue for exhibitions, craft fairs and street entertainment's such as music, dancing, circus acts and leisure promotions.

Warrington has many fine parks, both old and new.  These, together with other areas of public open space such as the Bridgewater Canal, Lymm Dam, The Mersey Way and the many miles of country footpaths, make Warrington a wonderful area to explore
