Museums and Art in Manchester and Salford
The Lowry
This is a visual and performing arts
centre. Constructed of stainless steel and glass facades.
The Lowry opens the door to
entertainment on a grand scale. A spectacular new building for the
21st century, it is unlike anything you will have seen before.
One visit to The Lowry will demonstrate that this is something
else. One look inside and you're hooked.
You'll find not one theatre, but two. In the galleries, not only L
S Lowry but contemporary art exhibitions as well.
There are shops,
restaurants and bars. And there is ArtWorks, an interactive
creative attraction that really is a world apart.
No matter how many times you go, twice a day or twice a year,
there will always be something different. Set at the heart of Manchester's waterways on Salford Quays, The
Lowry is open all day, every day.
Discover, explore and enjoy!
There is something for everyone and
much of it is free.
