You can visit the oldest market hall in Lancashire, walk through one of the first shopping arcades in the country and see
where Accrington Football Club first met. Founding members of the Football League, the team were the forerunners of
the world famous Accrington Stanley.
Rawtenstall, in the heart of the Rossendale Valley, bustles with activities and attractions.
Take a journey on the East Lancashire Railway which runs from Rawtenstall to Bury, or take a stroll along the
River Irwell and discover a collection of modern sculptures which form the Irwell Sculpture Trail, stretching 35
miles from Bacup to Salford.
