| Blackpool is a fun-filled resort and is among the largest
in England. Lying on the north west's fun coast, Blackpool has one
of Britains most popular attractions - Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Attracting over seven million visitors a
year, it has been voted the north west's most favourite day out. There are very few places now where you can
ride on a tram and here you can ride for 12 miles from Squires Gate, south of Blackpool to
Fleetwood. Fleetwood
is a fishing village with a reputation for fine fish. Here you can find a beautiful harbour, yacht
marina and a promenade packed full of attractions such as the Maritime
Museum. Fleetwood
is a shoppers paradise with Freeport, a discounted shopping village and factory outlets and Fleetwood’s
traditional market with stalls both indoor and out. To the south is Lytham and St-Annes.
A traditional seaside town which is more than a town by the sea. The gentle feel of a bygone age is steadily
being supplemented with an exciting range of new shops and restaurants. Attractions here include
Pleasure Island, Charlie Chalk’s Fun City at Salters Wharf. Also home to
the Open Golf Championship, St-Annes boasts four championship courses.
