| The museum, situated in the
historic docks at the junction of the Shropshire Union and Manchester Ship
Canals See the world's largest collection of traditional canal boats. Step back in time for a unique insight into family life inside a horse-drawn boat. You can admire the skills of boat builders, painters and blacksmiths. The story of the waterways, their industry and people is brought to life in the dock worker's cottages and original waterside buildings.
