BEACON COUNTRY PARK Up Holland Nr Wigan

| Beacon Park lies on the upper slopes of a southwest facing ridge which forms a
backdrop to the town of Skelmersdale. There are magnificent views of the West Lancashire plain, the Irish Sea and
inland to the Pennine Moors. Short walks are available in the park and there are many footpaths in the surrounding
area. Places to visit on route include the Beacon Park Centre, which incorporates an exhibition area, and Ashurst
Beacon. Parking and picnic areas can be found throughout the area.
