National Trust owned foreshore and pinewood nature reserve between the sea and the town of Formby, 2 miles inland. 

Formby Squirrel Reserve (Woodland & Beach) Red squirrels can frequently be seen in the pine trees and the shoreline attracts waders such as oystercatchers and sanderlings. As well as the beautiful beach there are miles of walks across the sand dunes and through the woods.

Dogs must be kept on leads around the squirrel walk.

Ample parking facilities and private conveniences, suitable access to the squirrel viewing areas for prams and wheelchairs.

Open all year during daylight hours
£2.70 per car. Coaches £15.00 all year (must be pre-booked). School groups must book in advance.
