The Wyre Estuary Country Park is situated on the banks of the River Wyre in Thornton.

Many of the facilities are accessible to disabled people and a network of level surfaced paths lead visitors through a variety of estuary and riverside views. The park provides a place for a quiet stroll or a picnic in one of the sites located at Stannah, Cockle Hall and Skippool. Naturalists are able to study a wide variety of wildlife and habitats. There is also a bird hide for studying birds on the estuary.

The Wyreside Ecology Centre acts as a focal point for visitors to the park, and houses the facilities.

There is ample car parking.
