Home of the world's greatest horse race, The Grand National, Aintree hosts four quality racemeetings per year including the Martell Grand National Festival and a Ladies Evening meeting and Family Fun Day. New for 2000 is the Grand National Experience, an opportunity to see behind the scenes of the Grand National. The Experience incorporates an interactive visitor centre, the world's only simulated ride around the Aintree racecourse and a breathtaking tour behind the scenes of the world's greatest steeplechase. Opened in July 1999, it is a must for everyone and a popular attraction all year round.
