Wales
is a land of contrasts. Within this land of dragons and druids
nestles secluded mountain valleys, picturesque villages and crowded
cities, with a heritage spanning the gamut from rich poetry and song to the
grit of the coal mines. Cardiff is a big attraction with it's cluster of
beautiful white stone buildings in neoclassical style, it is home
too to a castle established in Roman times. In the south, the
Brecon Beacons are renowned as a walking destination. In the north
there is fantastic walking and cycling country and there are some
good attractions. Snowdonia offers mountainous scenery to rival the
Brecons.
When it comes to activities, especially outdoors,
Wales has a lot to offer.
